Dedicated to the spirit and memory of Screaming Lord Sutch, Party Creator and Founder of the U.K.O.M.R.L.P., to the memories of Lord Derek Howell of Tiverton and John Rowe....and to the Rock 'n' Roll Loony Party of Great Britain for their continueing in the true spirit of Sutch. May we be a tribute to that spirit also!
Quoted from the U.K. Rock'n'Roll Loony Party website: "ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN- Our mentor was a Great Rock'N'Roll Showman and the Greatest Statesman that Britain never elected. Many of his shocking "Loony" policies are now Law of the Land. He was the first to mix Rock'N'Roll with Gothic Horror, inspiring a new generation of music. He recognized talent and a galaxy of World Class Stars first shone beside him on record and stage (Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Carlo Little, Jon Bonham, Nickie Hopkins, Richie Blackmore, to name a few). Screaming Lord Sutch made "Loony" a household word (in Great Britain), synonymous with "innovative" and "controversial" and stood for election against every Prime Minister since 1964 (except John Major)." For more history on Screaming Lord Sutch, use the link to the Rock'n'Roll Loony Party website on the "RU a Loony 2?" page.
Following the death of Screaming Lord Sutch, history was repeated. The Gulfport Tea Party took place in the waters of Longboat Key. Committees of Correspondence were created to keep U.S. Loonys informed. This was followed by the U.S. Loony Continental Congress.
On July 4th, 2000, the U.S. National Official Monster Raving Loony Party declared it's right to self-determination with the creation and signing of Declaration of Loonypendence.

Bottom: Lord Derek Howell of Tiverton (The title is genuine. He was a truly wonderful gentleman. Every moment with him was filled with charm and wit) and Sir Andrew.
